What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?

I entered an apprenticeship scheme straight from sixth form where I studied accountancy and really enjoyed the course leading to my chosen career. I started off in practice doing accounts and general audit before moving to London and focussing solely on audit. I have taken some time away from audit, I have spent some time in industry and taken a career break for my family.

What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?

I love the coaching and training aspect of my role, helping the team develop and achieving their own career goals. The most challenging aspect of my job is fitting in the school run!

What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?

A keen eye for detail leveraging effective reviews on keys areas and a questioning personality enabling me to look beyond the numbers.
