Callum Danskine

Associate

Callum Joined Wisteria in December 2021 and works within the Audit & Assurance department.

Before joining Wisteria, I studied Financial Mathematics at the University of Nottingham. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching football, I currently play for a local team on weekends. I also enjoy going to live sports and music events with friends.

What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?

I have had an interest in finance since leaving school and I enjoyed maths too, which naturally led me to complete a financial mathematics degree at university. My degree gave me a good foundation to access lots of different areas in finance, and I felt that starting a career in audit would give me a great base to start understanding how good businesses function.

What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?

I really enjoy working with the other people in the audit team, and everyone around the office - the environment is friendly and fun which makes Wisteria and nice place to go to work every day. The most challenging thing for me is trying to manage my own professional studies during busy periods at work, which can get a little stressful.

What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?

To succeed as an audit associate you need to be a collaborative team-worker and have an analytical mind. In my role I always try to communicate well with the team and ask questions so that I can complete each task to the best of my ability.
