What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?

I began my career working as administrators in Bank & Building Societies and worked up to Office Manager with each role that I undertook. I have worked in many fields as an Office Manager from Banking, Counselling, Advertising, Facilities Management to now Accounting. I started working at Wisteria Limited in September 2021 and have learnt many new skills particularly with regards to the software, which has increased my skillset considerably.

What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?

I enjoy the fact that everyday is something different and with any query that I get I learn more about this field. The challenge for me was learning all the terminology that comes with Accounting. Not being in this field before, it took a while to understand and there are new ones that come up all the time.

What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?

I believe organisation is the most important quality in this role. You need to know when the deadlines are and ensure that my clients (the staff) have what they need to get their jobs done. Balancing daily work and ongoing projects by scheduling and organising is key to making the work run smoothly.
