The Wisteria Group is made up of Wisteria Audit Ltd a firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors and Wisteria Limited a firm of Chartered Tax Advisers based in North West London. We provide a wide range of services to businesses and individuals, mainly either in the London area or international businesses operating in the UK. The firm has been well established and trading for over 21 years and has approximately 25 staff and has seen significant year on year growth.
The successful candidate will be working as part of the Audit & Assurance department and will be working directly with at least 6 people and will also be collaborating with the non-audit service teams. The firm prides itself on having a modern forward-looking approach and the Audit & Assurance team is seeking to recruit an individual who shares the same positive outlook. The department is led by a highly motivated Director who has a top 5 accountancy firm background and has ambitious-growth plans for the department and firm.
• The trainee will work in the audit department. This will involve working with a range of audit clients across several industry sectors.
• You will be trained in the audit process and we will take you on a journey from graduate to professionally qualified.
• You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of interesting businesses and help provide a great client service.
• As well as training on the job, full study support will be provided towards obtaining the ACA qualification. This includes relevant professional training, study and exam leave.
• The role offers the opportunity to work within a small practice obtaining a broad experience whilst working on a large number of clients providing variety on a daily basis.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
• Qualifications:
• 2.2 or above degree in any discipline
• Three A Levels, with grade BBB or higher (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
• Minimum Grade B in GCSE Mathematics and English Language (or equivalent)
Desirable
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Adaptability and flexibility to meet the Directors' needs
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
Personal
• We are looking for a talented individual who has a strong interest and commitment to a career in the accountancy profession.
• The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with clients directly, so excellent spoken and good written English skills are a requirement.
• A professional, enthusiastic and responsible approach are required, as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
• The role includes the requirement to work through financial data and documentation, therefore an eye for detail and a methodical approach is also important.
